Mr. McClain brings with him over 15 years of expertise in security and investigative matters.  McClain began his security career in 1994 while serving in the United States Marine Corps.  After spending most of his military services with the USMC Security Force Unit, Mr. McClain was honorably discharged in 1998.   He has actively been pursuing his career in security and investigation ever since.  Mr. McClain has led and supervised executive protection details in the US and Internationally.  For the past ten years,

Mr. McClain has provided personal protection to a former Secretary of State, a former presidential cabinet member, senior level executives, and to affluent families.  Mr. McClain has provided security and consulting support to a variety of persons and organizations during times of actual threats of violence.  Mr. McClain has logged 1000s of hours in assisting trials attorneys (criminal & civil) prepare their cases for trial/resolutions: By conducting thorough fact-finding investigations and research.  He has provided training on such subject matters of: Workplace Violence Prevention, Investigator Ethics, Terrorism Awareness, Personal Safety, Providing Executive Protection, and Investigative Techniques. 

McClain holds a BS in Criminology and Criminal Justice summa cum laude from Portland State University.  He was also awarded Certificates in Advanced Crime Analysis and in American Justice System from Portland State University.  McClain was nominated to join the academic National Honor Society Phi Kappa Phi.  James is an active member of the American Society of Industrial Security; and is currently the Vice Chairperson for the Columbia River ASIS Chapter.
