I have worked with Scott Castleman for more than three years. He has
served as personal protection for our news crews in many different
situations. In every situation, I have felt safe and protected; in every
situation, I have found him to be extremely quick-thinking, analytical,

Because of break-in issues in
our parking lot, I had employed the services of a uniformed security
company. Unfortunately, the officers failed to observe any criminal
activity. Moreover, their presence proved to be little deterrent to

reports from Mr. Castleman documenting his operations. Personally, he is
a delight to deal with. He is direct, committed and pleasant.
I think word has circulated
throughout the criminal circuit that Mr. Castleman and his teams are
working my property, resulting in a significant decrease in criminal
activity. However, I plan to continue using Mr. Castleman and his agents
to maintain security on a random basis. Their undercover presence remains
an effective deterrent to criminals

On February 18, 1998, you developed information regarding a large
shoplifting operation in the downtown area of Portland. After reviewing
the information you provided, a large undercover operation was started
which lasted several months. The investigation centered on small downtown
grocery stores whose owners and or employees purchases items they knew
were stolen. Some of the businesses would provide the shoplifters with a
shopping list of items they wanted stolen. The information you provided
and the following investigation resulted in the arrest of 11 suspects, 141
indictments and the closure of 8 grocery stores for trafficking stolen
property.

apprehending three employees of the Patton Home who were stealing. Mr.
Castleman agreed to investigate the numerous thefts, which were occurring
at the home. Within two weeks, he identified, questioned and got
confessions from three suspects.
Mr. Castleman is a professional. He came into the home under the cover of
a college student doing a project. He was able to talk with residents and
staff without arousing suspicion. When there was enough evidence to
implicate the suspects, he effectively questioned them to achieve the
desired results. All three employees were terminated and one is being
prosecuted.

employees and the business from possible retaliation from the suspects.
